By the Way.... I love love Halloween! This is the best time of the year! I'm getting all excited!

Best memory ever from last Halloween is when we were at a party at my cousin's house; a 10 year old little boy came to the door to return a borrowed pan, and Scott started barking at him. A really mean loud bark! The kid was scared to death! He didn't know what to do! It was hilarious. Oh and when Scott lifted his leg, like he was peeing, on my mom and grandma... Who is this guy that I married?!

Happy Anniversary to us! Today we have been married 5 years!! I can't believe it! Time sure flies! This blog title might only be funny to my family. Its a Little Rascals reference... I love my handsome husband so much! I loved our wedding day. Everything went perfect. I slept in, had my dad's homemade waffles for breakfast, did my hair and makeup, and then rode to the Salt Lake temple with my mom and dad. I can still remember Scott waiting there for us just inside the temple. It was the best day ever! I loved waiting in the Celestial room just the two of us before we were married. And our cute sealer! I can't remember anything he said except, he couldn't pronounce my name to save his life, and he was hilarious! That's all I remember. After the ceremony, my mom helped me change out of my temple dress and into my wedding dress, there were a million girls in there! Then we were walking down the hall and I hear. "WOW!" It was my handsome husband! I didn't even realize he was sitting in a chair at the end of the hall. We took a million pictures! Grabbed some Little Caesars pizza and then the party started! It was a blast! I love you Scott! This morning we had my dad's waffles together before work! (This time made by Scott, not my Dad.) It was the best! Scott is my best friend in the whole world! He is the hardest working guy I know. He is so caring, and thoughtful! He is going to be the best dad ever! I have no doubt about it! I am so lucky to be his wife! Happy Anniversary Babe!

Being a twin is the best! I absolutely love it! Maybe that is because my twin is so awesome! Its so fun celebrating our birthday together! Kylie and I celebrated our 24th birthday this year. We are so so excited that this sweet baby is a boy! I can't wait for our handsome little man! The first time we tried to see the sex of the baby, the cord was between the legs. So we weren't able to see anything!! The doctor said that if he had to guess, he would guess boy. BUT it was just a guess. We both thought it was a boy. Everyone has said it was a boy from the beginning. When we went back 4 weeks later, it was confirmed! I am so excited!

Good Bye Rafaels

On July 31st Rafael's closed their doors after 32 years. It is so sad! We have so many amazing memories from working at Rafael's. That is where Scott and I met, where we made out in the walk-in-fridge, where we fell in love. It's where Scott came after he asked my dad if he could marry me. Scott was a stripper for a group of nurses who came in for a bachelorette lunch. Not only did we meet and fall in love there, but 4 of the 5 Andrewsen boy's met/worked with their wives there. Our best buddies came from Rafael's. We are sad to see it go!

Catching up finally! Scott turned 31 back in June. It was a lame birthday if you ask me. He had to close at Tmobile, so when he got home at 9:00pm we went to Taco Bell (his choice) for dinner. This year I took a chance and made the famous Andrewsen German Chocolate cake. In the past Scott hasn't even let me attempt to make it. He's made his own birthday cake every year we've been married (his choice again). It turned out great! I'm officially an Andrewsen now! Happy Birthday Scottie! You are the best guy in the whole world! I sure love you!

Thats right! We are having a baby! After almost 3 years of trying to start our family, it is finally our turn! We feel so incredibly blessed. I still can't believe its real. I guess we just needed to move back to Utah and buy a house. We were just getting ready to find a fertility specialist and what do ya know?! We both had a feeling that we were prego, but we waited quite some time before taking a test. We've had so many false alarms over the years, that we were to scared to find out the truth. I finally decided to take a test at 5am one morning, and with in 2 seconds the glorious word appeared "Pregnant"! I started to cry for one second, then got so excited and ran into our room and started jumping on our bed waiving the test in Scott's face. He had no idea what was going on! When he finally realized he was just silent with this permanent grin on his face. It was so surreal for both of us!

It was so fun telling our families! They have been waiting for this almost as long as we have! The best was when the little nieces and nephews would ask me when we were going to have a baby. And all I could say was whenever Heavenly Father s

ends me one. And now he has! We told them by sending them on an Easter egg hunt. In each egg was candy and a letter. When they unscrambled the letters they would find the secret message.

We are excited! We are Due November 21st. So we still have a ways to go! But we've made it into the second trimester which is a huge relief! Can't wait for you BABY!

We headed back down to Arizona for another wedding! It was a gorgeous wedding! It is so amazing to be in the temple and watch couples and families get sealed for eternity! Its such a great reminder for Scott and me. I love it! We spent the weekend with family enjoying the Easter weekend.

...We just don't have any keys yet. Everything is signed and done (after being an hour late to our closing! Almost died yesterday due to Scott's driving.). We just have to wait for everything to get entered in at the clerks office or something like that, and then we'll get the keys. We should get them today, and then moving party tomorrow! This is so exciting! After we closed yesterday we went and wandered around Ikea, imagining if we had a million dollars to spend and what we would spend it on. We came out only $80 poorer. Not too shabby! Happy moving day tomorrow!... hopefully.

We might close on our house next week! Oh happy day!! No more 45 minute commute a million times a day! No more waking up freaking early to make time for the commute! No more waiting around at work for 2-3 hours waiting for Scott to get off work (since we only have one car)! No more riding the bus home and falling asleep on a stranger's shoulder! And no more spending $400 a month for gas! This will be so great! We'll keep ya posted!

I am so behind on posting, that I have just given up lately. There is so much I want to blog about from last year, such as trip to Japan, picking up my sis from her mission in Arkansas & Tennessee, moving from our beloved Arizona, Scott's 3oth birthday, multiple home offers (still no home though), and much more. Maybe one day I'll get a chance to post everything from last year, but for now I'll just stick with the present.

Scott & I have been living with his oldest brother and his family for the last 6 months, while we've been house hunting. Scott just finished getting his EMT certification and is working a couple other jobs as well. We are in contract with a house in "Cougar Country." Hopefully this one works out! There's been a lot of change recently, but change is good. We're still working on the baby situation, but we know things will happen when they are suppose to. We love our life. We love our puppies. We love our families. We love the gospel. And best of all, We love each other.

Nightmare on 13th

One of the best parts of being back in Utah is haunted houses! They don't have any haunted houses or corn mazes in Arizona. The holidays are so different! Last weekend we went to Nightmare on 13th with Brent and Brenda, and Brad and Rosie. I was a little apprehensive because it was $20 a person! Last time I went to a haunted house it was only $9! We had a blast! It was worth the money. We screamed, sweated our brains out, and laughed our faces off! One of the best parts was waiting in line, because they had video of what was happening inside, so we watched as person after person got scared. It was hilarious! I can only imagine how much everyone laughed as they watched us go through! Good times.... I love Halloween!

Our little family is growing!! We are now a two dog family. Indiana Jones, aka Indy, is the newest edition to our family. He is a 12 week old pom. He weighs 3 and a 1/2 pounds, and is super cute. We decided Zoey needed a friend. She loves other dogs, and she is home by herself quite a bit. She is still getting use to sharing the attention, but he's growing on her I think. I forgot how much work it is to train a puppy. He is cute to look at, but I'm always on edge that he is going to pee, or chew something. So far so good! Welcome to the fam Indy!

We love our dog! She is our little baby at this point in our lives, and she is the best dog in the whole world!.... most of the time. She loves to go out in our back yard and sun bathe on the rocks. (We don't have any grass). She'll be out there forever, and if we open the door to let her in she runs away. So the other day I went to check on her, and what do I find?! Holes all over my back yard. We had given her a bone a few days earlier and she has just been moving it from spot to spot all over the back yard. Our little angel puppy has a flaw! And its digging! But how can you be mad at her when she's sooo cute?

We had so much fun in Utah this year for Christmas! It is always so great to go home and see all of our friends and family. We did the traditional Christmas Eve party with my mom's side of the family, had a great Christmas dinner over at the Andrewsen's, talked to Kylie on her mission, witnessed our new little niece's blessing, ate at two of our favorite places only found in Utah (Rafael's and Asian Star), and just had tons of fun seeing family. (Mandy your just part of family). It was nice and cold and we had an awesome snow storm to drive home in! Couldn't have asked for better holidays! Sorry for the picture over load! I just wanted everyone to feel like they were there along with us!

After we got home from Utah we worked a few days and then headed off to California. Some friends of ours got us tickets to the BYU/San Diego game and let us stay at their place while we were there. So we took full advantage of the weekend in Cali and decided to hit Disneyland while we were there too. We love Disneyland this time of year! However we were surprised at how busy it was! We didn't get to ride too many rides, but still had a great time. Cant complain about a free Disneyland trip. The BYU game was fun. Seriously about half of the huge stadium was wearing blue! We did have Relief Society going on in front of us though. And everytime anyone would cheer or whistle this lady would plug her ears and give the dirtiest looks to everyone around her. It was good times! We had a blast! Thank you so much Chris and Michelle for inviting us and letting us stay at your place. After Disneyland we headed up to Burbank to see my brother Ryan and his super prego wife Kimi. We were trying to convince the baby to come right then so we could be there, but our coaxing didn't work. We do have a new niece now though! Elise Claire was born on Oct 24th! Now we cant wait to go back to Cali to see her!

Trip to Utah

Early in October we went up to Utah for Mark and Amy's baby blessing. It was a real quick trip, as usual, but we had a great time. This year for our anniversary we headed up to Prescott, AZ for a little get a way. It was absolutely gorgeous up there! It definitely made us miss Utah though. It was so green, and we saw real trees, which don't really exist down here in the Phoenix area. We stayed at the Prescott Resort, which had an amazing view! We had fun walking around the city, enjoying the art festival, and horseback riding. We had a great time just being us, away from our many jobs.

3 Years Down!

Today is our three year anniversary! It's been a pretty eventful three years! We've moved 7 times, Had a number of new jobs, Got our baby (Zoey Puppy), and made a ton of amazing friends. This year for the Fourth my parents, as well as Ryan and Kimi were able to come down to Arizona. We had a ton of fun. We swam, and swam some more. That all you can do when its 115 degrees! It was quite different from our traditional Utah fourth with the early morning parade and the Sandy city fireworks. We were able to find some fire works in Chandler. This picture of my mom with baby Atlee was too cute to not post. We love when family is able to come visit. Happy Fourth of July!

Easter

We had such a fun Easter. The Easter bunny even came to our house this year! I was super surprised! I went down stairs to get breakfast ready and I found a little note from the Easter bunny.

So we went looking for our Easter baskets, and I found Scott's first under the stairs.

Then after some searching I found mine in the dryer.

We love having two of our brothers here in Arizona with us. It makes the Holidays a lot easier. And we LOVE our nieces and nephews! So this year for Easter Kurt and Liz had us all over for dinner at there house. It was Kurt's family, my brother and his family, and then Scott's cousin and his family came up from Tucson. It was a really nice Easter. Its kinda nice not having to go back and forth between the Jensen dinner and the Andrewsen dinner. We can just be with everyone at the same time. Our assignment for dinner was dessert. So we took the best sugar cookies in the world. (Thanks for the recipe Melissa!) We had lots and lots of cookies.

We had a great dinner, and a great Easter!

This year we went to the Easter Pageant with Kurt and Liz and their kids. This was a first for Kurt and Liz's family. We really enjoyed it. Scott had Abby almost the whole time and I had Christian next me. Through out the entire show Christian was asking, "Is that real?" "Are those kids real?" "Is that fire real?" "Is that really Jesus?" It was pretty cute. And stinking cute Abby, was so cute when she saw Jesus. She was waving at him and was upset when he didn't wave back. Then she was heart broken when Jesus died. Scott tried to tell her that he was alive, but she was too sad to listen. It was too cute! We were glad to help Kurt and Liz out so that they could come and enjoy.

My brother Erik and his wife Teresa had their first baby on January 25th. This is the first grandchild on my side of the family. Because of that my parents have been down from Utah a few times. This year for Valentines day we just enjoyed our Saturday. We slept in, did some cleaning, Scott made yummy breakfast, and then we exchanged our gifts. I made Scott a picture collage with pictures of us from when we were dating to now. He gave me some sweats I really wanted. Then when we were hugging and thanking each other he reached behind me and pulled out a jewelry box all wrapped up. I was super surprised! Then he said "Every kiss begins with Kay." How cheesy is that! But hey, I was excited. Inside was a pink Sapphire ring and necklace. I love pink! After we went to PF Chang's and then went and saw a movie. It was really fun! I love my hubby! He's my best friend and we always have so much fun together! Love you babe!

Well, I know it's been forever since we've posted, but life is crazy. We came up to Utah on Dec. 19th. We had a fabulous Christmas up here! I am staying in Utah until at least January 16th for my best friend's wedding. Scott had to go back to California to work on the 29th. Then on New Year's Eve he rode his motorcycle back to Arizona to finish moving our stuff out of his brothers house and into our storage unit. We are still homeless! We haven't had any luck finding a place in California because it is so expensive. We just can't bring ourselves to pay $1300 for a 600 sq. foot apartment. We are starting to think that Cali may not be the best option for us at this time. Anyway, I'll get some pictures from Christmas on here soon. Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!

Mesa Temple Lights

On Monday we went to the Mesa Temple to see the lights with Kurt and Liz and the fam for family home evening. Scott was home from California for a change. It was so fun, to finally feel like its Christmas time. Its just the same as Temple Square in Salt Lake City. No snow, no need for hot chocolate, no need for a coat for that matter, and definitely not as many lights! Its still beautiful, and the spirit is there just the same.

I can't believe it is already Christmas time! I can't believe it's still 80 degrees! And I can't believe we are moving to California! Scott and I are like gypsies, We are moving again! This will be my 6th move in the two years we've been married. And my fourth State. Unreal! Scott has a new job with a company he has worked on and off with since he graduated high school. It's U.S.A. United Spirit Association. He is a Cheer leading Program Director. He will put on camps and competitions and do the hiring of staff. He is super excited and loving it so far. He has been working full time in California since November 1st, and comes home on the weekends to see his lovely wife here in Arizona. I just gave my notice at my job, which I am super sad to leave! I love all the girls and doctors at my office. Bummer! I absolutely love Arizona! I hope we have just as much fun, and make as many friends in California, as we here . A new adventure I guess. Well if anyone needs a place to stay near Disneyland give us a call! Wish us luck!

Twilight

As many of you know, Twilight came out this past weekend. I had the opportunity to see it twice! I really enjoyed the movie. It naturally wasn't everything I pictured in my head from reading the book, but overall it was well done. I thought the castings were pretty good. Bella was great, though I really wished she just smile more. Edward, although a bit scrawnier than I'd envisioned, was well cast. I actually didn't like Edward at first at all! But by the end I was pretty in love with him. Strong jawline, rad hair...super cute. I went with the girls from my ward Thursday night to see it at the midnight showing. I was way tired, but it was totally worth it. Then on Friday, I'd originally planned to go with another group of girl friends, but I really wanted to take Scott to see it. I had a ticket for 6:45 and they were all sold out. So Scott got my ticket switched to an hour later, got him a ticket, and we went together! I loved it even more the second time.

So, I know I'm not very good at updating our blog, so I'm playing catch up tonight. This last weekend Scott and I went and worked at a cheer competition at Deer Valley High School here in Arizona. We had a lot of fun, and we got paid for it. Scott has been working with USA for 10years now off and on, and frequently goes out and judges competitions. This time I went too. I was the Tabulator! Sounds pretty cool huh? Well, maybe not cool, but I enjoyed it. It was fun to be a part of something that Scott has done and loved for so long.

Saturday night I went and helped out my friend at a fashion show at the Scottsdale Fashion Square for Fashion Week. She works for the designer Joy Li. We had so much fun! I have the best friends in the world. We basically stripped down and dressed up models as they came running back off the runway and had to run back on. It was kind of hilarious to see me, 5'1", dressing a model, 5'11". I only received one bruise from my model kicking her stiletto boot at me to take off. It was at the Canal Restaurant and we just danced and drank (Coke) the night away! Thanks Cincere Lee and Natty! I love you girls!

Halloween- better late than never~

This year everyone at my work decided to dress up as 80's workout people. I have to say we looked pretty good! My mom even sent me her old leotard that she use to work out in. The best part was, a lot of people who came into the dentist office that day didn't realize at first that we were dressed up. They only see us every six months. The looks on their faces were priceless as they would walk through the front door and see me and my bangs! Good times. That night Scott and I went to our wards trunk or treat to be with our primary class. My parents flew in that night, and met us at there with my brother and his wife. It was a good Halloween. I love dressing up! Who knows what Scott's costume is. He tried to go along with the 80's theme I think. But instead he found some short corduroy shorts and a mens racer back tank top and called it good. He did inform me though, that the tank top was Calvin Klein. Thanks Goodwill.

On Monday I carved pumpkins with Kurt and Liz and the kids. I actually wasn't allowed to do much... I cleaned out Isaac's pumpkin, drew the face on it, just how he wanted it. And then I carved one eye out and went a little out side the lines, and that was the end of it. I was no longer allowed to carve his pumpkin! So then I just ended up watching them carve pumpkins. Scott and I carved our pumpkin the Saturday before at a Halloween party we went to. I have to say I may be a little obsessed with Halloween! I love it! I love carving pumpkins, dressing up, and eating lots of candy!

For our anniversary Scott got me Disneyland tickets, and whatever I wanted while we were there... He made sure that I added that last part in! We finally got to use them this last weekend. It was so much fun! All my most favorite things combined into one. Disneyland, Scott, and Halloween! You can't beat that! The parks were decorated so cute. It was so busy though! We didn't think about it being fall break, what were we thinking? Regardless, we had a ton of fun! I never get sick of Disneyland. While we were gone, Liz's family came down to Arizona to visit. They were still visiting when we got back, so we stayed with our buddies, Devin and Lena's house. It stinks being homeless right now, but we were very grateful for their bunk beds!

This one is for Heidi- So our life has been totally crazy lately! We moved! Not too far from where we were though. Our lease was up Sept. 30th and we were trying to figure out what to do. My work was 75miles round trip from our apartment, and the area kind of freaked me out. But our amazing friends were right there. So while we were trying to figure out what to do, rent? buy? stay? go?, Scott's brother offered to let us move in with them for a while. So we did. We put all our stuff in a storage unit and moved into the bedroom across the hall from Kurt and Liz. It's a lot closer to my work! Instead of an hour drive every day its only fifteen minutes! Their kids are absolutely in love with Scott. Christian even prays that Scott will come in and kiss him good night. They are so sweet. The worst part of the whole thing was moving. We really didn't think the three flights of stairs thing out very well. It was nice not having anyone above us, but moving was a nightmare! I have no idea how many times we went up and down those stairs. And I had no idea we had so much stuff! There are only two of us! The hard part is over at least! Now we just gotta be good so Kurt and Liz don't kick us out, or send us to bed early! We sure appreciate them letting us stay with them for a little while, while we are trying to figure our crazy lives out! Thanks a million you guys!

Today is our 2 year anniversary! We were married in the Salt Lake Temple two years ago today. We've had a lot of fun these past two years, and experienced quite a few places. We've grown so close to one another, and love being with each other all the time. Maybe by our next anniversary there will be a baby in our mix. Two years down... the rest of eternity to go!

Happy Birthday to US! August 14th was our 21st birthday! I love being a twin! We have had so much fun together! Its great sharing our birthday together. Luckily we were able to get together on the 15th to celebrate our birthday. I love you Ky! You are going to be a fabulous missionary!

On the 14th, I called Scott on my way home from work and asked him what we were doing for my birthday tonight, and he said that he wasn't feeling good, and that he just wanted to stay home... I knew something was up, because Scott knows how much I love birthdays! Well I got home from work and the house was all clean and there were PINK presents and flowers on the table. And then I asked him what we were doing, and he stuck with his story that we were just staying home, and he had ordered pizza. Well as I was opening my presents there was a knock on our door, and in comes my good friends, Natty and Josh. Then Jenni shows up, then Cincere Lee and her family.... they just kept coming! Then Mace and Melissa, Kurt and Liz and Erik and Teresa showed up. It was so fun! We just ate pizza and hung out in our tiny little apartment. It was a great 21st birthday. Utah trips

This summer has been so busy! We have been up to Utah quite a few times, and still have a few more planned. So we are a little behind on our postings. We went up over the fourth of July. We stopped in Lake Powell on our way up and spent a day there with my best friend, Mandy, and her family. We had a ton of fun! And then we went up to Sandy and went to the parade with my family and to fireworks on the fourth. The fifth we went to our niece's baptism, and then to a rodeo with my parents and sister. Then we went back up to Utah July 16-20th for an Andrewsen camping trip. We had a ton of fun! We camped at Yuba Lake, and went boating. We had a lot of fun with our nieces and nephews who we don't see nearly enough! Scott taught his neices how to knee board, he was pretty tired, but wouldn't have it any other way. Then Kylie went through the temple and took her endowments out July 19th. That was awesome to be able to go through the temple with my twinner. Afterwards we went to Red Robin for lunch. It was a busy trip, and they are never quite long enough.

Scott had is 28th birthday on June 22nd. We're a little late posting about it, but oh well! We had a ton of fun on Scott's birthday this year. Which is good because Scott always hates his birthdays. He tries so hard to not make them a big deal. So I try even harder to make them a big deal! On Saturday, June 21st, we went cliff diving with Scott's bud from college and his wife and a few other people. It was so fun! We had to hike a short distance to get there, which felt longer in the heat. When we got there it was just a narrow river surrounded by cliffs. We had a lot of fun. When we got home, we went to In-n-Out for dinner, and then to see the Incredible Hulk. Just what Scott wanted to do. Sunday, his actual birthday, I made him breakfast in bed. He opened all his presents and then we went to church. When we got home he took a long nap, and then we had a wonderful rib eye dinner. Some of our friends came over for cake and ice cream later that night. He told me it was a great birthday, nice and relaxing. Woo Hoo! It was a success! Happy Birthday Baby, I sure love you!

We love our dads! They are the best dads in the whole world. I have lots of respect for both of them. Scott's dad is the regional financial controller over all of Africa and Europe for the church. They moved over to Germany two days after we got married. He is doing great over there! His German is getting pretty good too. What a fun adventure for him and Trudy. My dad found out that he has Lymphoma Cancer right after Thanksgiving 07. They started Chemo treatments right away. It was really hard for our family to take in. He's been really strong through the whole thing. He has hopefully finished his last series of treatments. He went in for testing last week and we will find out the results this week, and then we will know if he needs to continue the Chemo treatments. Our dads are definately the rocks of our families. We love you both very much! Thank you for everything!

Weekend in Utah

Last weekend we headed up to Utah to support Rafael's mexican restaurant, the restaurant where Scott and I met and fell in love. They closed down in January to move to a different location, and they still haven't opened back up. They've run out of money. So they decided to do an open house at their new place which is about 90% done. They served a small part of their menu, and then you paid whatever you felt it was worth. We had a lot fun. We went to the restaurant with Scott's brothers and their wives. It made us super home sick though to see all of our family, and not just our immediate family, but our family at Rafael's. The manager, Miguel, is a second dad. He has helped us out so many times! We love you Miggy-D! Sunday was the Andrewsen Family dinner. We had a lot of fun playing with our nieces and nephews! And Brent and Brenda's new puppy! We spent just a little bit of time with my family on Sunday. We still love you though! Monday we decided to trade in our Mazda 6, which if you read our previous post about our car problems you know this has been a long time coming! We traded it in for a Mazda 3, and so far we love it! No check engine light, AC still works, and no bikes have run into us! Knock on wood. It was a great weekend! We can't wait to go back!

Kylie's Mission Call

Two weeks ago my parents and my twin sister came down to Arizona for the weekend. While they were here the bishop texted my dad and told him that my sister's mission call had been mailed and should be there waiting for them when they got home Monday. My mom was debating whether or not to tell Kylie and get her hopes up. She decided not to tell her until they knew for sure if it was there. Well, when they got home Monday night there was nothing there. It finally came Wednesday. She had a some family and friends come over the watch her open it. Then she called Scott and me, and my brother and his wife who live in AZ, on two different cell phones. One phone plugged into each ear so that we could listen to her read it out loud when she opened it. She is going to Little Rock, Arkansas. She is very excited! She leaves September 3rd, I think. We are super excited for her as well. It will be such a great experience for her. Woo Hoo for Kylie! Love you lady!

Well we've been home from Germany for a week now! We had so much fun. Scott's parents live over there and decided to fly their sons and their wives over for a visit. 4 of the 5 boys with their wives were able to make it! Thanks a million Lance and Trudy! We left here Wednesday morning, April 30th, and arrived Thursday morning, May 1st. Thursday we just hung around in Frankfurt which is just 15-20 minutes from Lance and Trudy's apartment. Friday we went to the Heidelberg castle and then to the Frankfurt Temple which is 5 minutes from their apartment. Saturday we went to a castle called Burg Eltz. It was my favorite castle of all. It's still owned by the same family who built it 800 years ago. They use part of the castle as a summer home. After that we traveled down the Rhine River and did some shopping in St. Gore. Sunday we stayed "home" and just went to church. Trudy was so excited to show off her boys! Her pride and joy! Monday was when we started our traveling. We stopped at Wurtzburg first, then to Rothenburg, which was founded in the 12th century. One of the oldest buildings there was built in the 700's. Tuesday, after Rothenburg, we headed to Hohenschwangau, which translates to Castle of high swan country. Wednesday we went to Neuschwanstein, the castle that the Disneyland castle is based off of. Then we headed to Salzburg, Austria. Austria was my most favorite! on Thursday we did the Sound of Music tour. They took us to all of the places where they filmed different scenes of the Sound of Music. After that we hung out in downtown Salzburg. Friday we went to Munich and ate at one of the oldest beer halls in Germany. Then we went to a concentration camp in Dacau. I didn't enjoy that one bit. After we were finished there we had a 6 hour drive, because of traffic, back to Lance and Trudy's place. Saturday we went to Bad Homburg for a few hours then to their ward party that night. We flew out Sunday morning, and arrived here Sunday night. Germany is 9 hours ahead of us, so technically it was a short flight. But it didn't seem that way! We had a blast, but its always nice to be home. We took over 600 pictures, but here are just a few.

After we shaved Zoey we bought her this little pink pig toy. It has a tennis ball body and then stuffed head, arms, and legs. She absolutely loves it! Scott thought it would be fun to make the pig ride Zoey, so he pushed the arms and legs through her collar so the pig was sitting on Zoe's neck/back. Zoey wasn't to fond of this, but we sure got a kick out of it. This is the best we could get on video. It was hillarious! Maybe you had to be there....

Scott finally convinced me to shave our puppy. I fought him on it for a while, just because Pomeranians are suppose to be little puff balls, but it was just getting to hot for her with all that hair. We did it as a birthday present to her. She turned 1 year old on the third. She is loving it! I cant believe how little she actually is with out all that hair! Easter

We had a great Easter this year! It was quite different with out our families to spend the day with, but we made the best of it. On the Friday before we went to the Easter Pageant for the first time. It was amazing! Its all about Christ's life and ultimately the atonement. The dancers, the costumes, and the story itself were great. On Sunday we had a nice traditional ham dinner with three other couples. Devin and Lena, Erik and Teresa, and Jason and Anika. It was a lot of fun! Its amazing how your friends become your family when you have no one else. We love our friends down here! My parents sent us our Easter basket, actually the card said it was from the Easter bunny. My parents are so thoughtful! We love you guys!

Scott's car is hopeless. It continuously has something wrong with it. Especially lately! We bought the car in April of 06. In August of 06 the engine seized up due to lack of oil. Scott had gone 3300 miles since his last oil change, and in his car manuel it said you were allowed to go 7000 miles between oil changes. We fought with Jiffy Lube, and nothing came of it. We ended up replacing the engine in January of 07. As soon as April rolled around we realized that the air conditioning wasn't working anymore. We took it back into the dealership who replaced the engine, and they told us that they must have bent a pipe when they were working on the car before. They needed to special order the part, and it wouldn't be there for a week. Well, just as our luck has it, Scott was leaving that same day to drive to Wisconsin for a summer job. So they decided to just repair it when we were home from WI in October. While Scott was driving to WI a deer jumped out in front of him at about 3:00am in the middle of Nebraska. He swerved and ended up off the road with a flat tire. He ended up needing to replace all 4 tires. While we were out there, the battery died and we had to replace that. We made it back to Utah without any other problems and got the air conditioning repaired. Everything was going fine until we moved down to Arizona. The check engine light suddenly came on, and we were freaking out because we didn't want to have to replace another engine! We took it to a dealership down here and they ended up replacing a solenoid in the exhaust system. We then drove up to Utah and back for Christmas. As soon as we got back the check engine light came on again! We took it to Auto Zone where they do the electronic test and it came back saying it was the solenoid again. The lady who did the test said it could also be that the gas cap isn't as tight as it should be. So we took it back to the dealership who fixed a week before and they said it is some sort of sensor, or the gas cap, so we didn't really worry about it. A few months later Scott's car randomly wouldn't start. He thought it may just be out of gas. We bought a gas can and filled her up with a couple of gallons. Still wouldn't start. We were frustrated so we just left it alone for a few hours. Scott decided to just give it one more shot, and it started right up! We went to bed that night, I went to work the next morning, and Scott went to start his car, and nothing happened. It wouldn't start. Finally, a week later my brother and Scott were getting ready to tow it, and it starts right up! It ran great for a week, and then wouldn't start again. We got it towed to a local mechanic shop and the problem was a crank sensor. Turns out that when the dealership was fixing the solenoid sensor the cut some wires and instead of repairing them properly they just taped them up all together. Well, when they would touch it would make the sensor burn out, which made the car not start. Anyway, we got that all replaced and we were feeling good. Then, the check engine light came back on a week later. We still dont know what the new problem is. And then to top everything off, tonight when we were driving home a teenage kid decides to run into us on his bike! Scott didn't hit him, he ran into the side of the car. It was really dark and we had no idea he was even there. Now there is a big scrape across the driver's door. We just can't keep up with all this car stuff! Luckily my 1992 Camery is running like a charm. All 207,000 miles of her! Hopefully our luck can't get any worse, and it will only go up from here.

Last week my parents and my sister came down and stayed with us for the weekend. It was so great seeing them again. A little crazy though, seeing my dad for the first time since he lost his hair due to cancer treatments. Luckily he is doing really well and was able to enjoy his weekend away. We had a great time! My aunt and uncle also met up with us for the weekend. We spent most of the time eating and playing games. We also went to the Padres/Rangers spring training game on Saturday. Unfortunately, Scott had to work most of Saturday and missed out on the game. Kylie had fun with her "niece" Zoey, and Zoey had fun attacking my parents while they were sleeping. It was a good weekend.

Valentine's Day!

We had a crazy Valentine's Day this year. Not only did we work all day, but we didn't know what we were doing as far as our date for that evening. It ended up that Scott was able to get us tickets for the Suns game by surprise. We ran to the Panda Express, and then down to the game. Our seats were awesome! We were on the thirteenth row of the lower bowl, right by the court. You could smell the sweat! Great exciting game, came down to the fourth quarter, and the Suns won. After the game we were heading down to the court to see if we might talk to our buddy, Devin. Two random guys offered us their courtside access tickets and we walked right on down. Then we hung out with Devin for a little bit. It was way late so we headed home and actually tried to get some sleep. We both had to get to work early so we only ended up getting a few hours of sleep. It was lots of fun, and mostly unplanned.
We love each other. It is interesting that this Valentine's was perfect, just being together and having a good time, yet we didn't have all the usual hoopla that goes with it. Of course we still like the hoopla...flowers, cards, romance, etc...but it was so much fun to simply spend time together. We have a love of sports, plus its part of Scott's job, and we were able to share in it together. We're the best ever in our opinion ;)
